Self-love

A simple ritual for pausing, listening inward and meeting yourself as someone you actually care about.

15–20 minSimpleSelf-love is a verb
Before you begin

What you need

Not much. Self-love does not need to be a feeling you manage to create. Here, it can be something you do.

A few undisturbed minutesPut the phone away and give yourself a small moment that does not need to perform.
An honest questionWhat do I actually need right now – not what should I need?
A concrete actionWater, rest, scent, touch, writing, a candle or something else that says: I take care of myself.
If the ritual awakens strong self-criticism, grief or something difficult to carry alone, do not force yourself through it. Self-love can also mean asking for support.
The ritual

Pause → Listen inward → Give care & anchor

1. Pause

1

Create a small pause. Put away your phone, sit comfortably and let it become quiet enough to notice how you actually are.

2

Mark that the moment begins. If you like, light a candle or incense. Choose a scent or colour you connect with warmth, softness or care.

If you use Satya incense: Rose or Lavender can fit if those scents feel soft to you. If you use an intention candle, pink, red or another colour may represent care. The meaning is yours, not a rule.

2. Listen inward

3

Ask yourself: How am I really today? Let the answer be simpler than you think. Tired. Angry. Relieved. Lonely. Worried. Happy. Empty. Everything may exist without needing to be solved first.

4

Then ask: What would be care right now? Maybe a bath, water, food, rest, movement, tears, a conversation or saying no to something.

5

Choose one small action and actually do it. If you choose a bath or shower, a bath bomb, scent or warm towel can make the transition concrete. If you choose touch, a few minutes of self-massage is enough.

The product is not the point. The concrete action should answer what you actually need – not replace it.

3. Give care & anchor

6

Say one sentence to yourself that you could say to someone you love. “You may be tired.” “I am here.” “This was hard.” “You do not need to solve everything now.”

7

Choose something to carry with you. Hold a rose quartz, lavender quartz or mala and let it represent what you want to remember after the ritual.

8

End with a concrete promise. Not “I will love myself perfectly”, but something possible: eat lunch, go outside, rest, call someone, book an appointment or say no.

Intention
“I do not need to feel perfect love for myself. I can begin by treating myself as someone worthy of care.”
